The Gambia senior national football squad will meet the Democratic Republic of Congo in an eagerly awaited clash next week.  The game billed for Wednesday 10 August 2011 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau will act as preparation for the upcoming CAF African Cup of Nations qualifiers. 

Gambia also known as The Scorpions will look to build on last months 1-0 away win in Gabon, and can expect to field a strong side.  All the American MLS based stars are expected on duty including Sainey & Sanna Nyassi, Mamadou Futty Danso, Kenny Mansally & Mustapha Toubabo Jarju also expected to play is MSK Zilina forward Momodou Ceesay who has recovered from a recent knee operation.
